| Men's Ministries |

Our goal at CFC is to develop men to be the servant-leaders that God has called them to be. We believe that a strong, godly man builds strong family; a strong family builds a strong church; a strong church builds a strong community. Men are challenged throughout the year by N.F.L (Nazarene Fellowship League), Promise Keepers conferences, Mens' retreats, various sports ministries & fellowships, and monthly informal prayer breakfasts.
Men... come join us!!!! |
| Women's Ministries |

The Women's Ministry at CFC is committed to a sense of community for all of our ladies, serving the Lord, through various Bible studies, informal fellowships, and various yearly events designed for women to become all that God desires. There are serving opportunities including providing food for those in need through the Martha Ministry & Blessings Ministry. Contact the church office for details. |

FUEL CO. (Founded Under Extreme Love, Christ Operated)
Our Life Statement: "Fuel Students seek to encounter God so that we may experience a life full of purpose and embrace the generation that God has called us to be."
Our Dream:
- for students to know and experience God's grace through scripture, learning from each other, and our life experiences together
- for us to bring the promise of God's hope through reaching out to those around us, seeing our story as part of God's bigger story, and learning to live out God's love.
- for us to live life together as God had planned it by loving God and loving others
Our Life Together:
Wednesday night FUEL - 6:30pm - 8:00pm every week.
Sunday morning community - 9:00am -
10:30am.... a time to dig deeper and search what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Because we believe that God meant for us to live life together, we do many things throughout the year to encourage this. This includes small groups, summer camps and mission trips, activities like paint balling and weekend adventures, dinners and celebrating, as well as many other time of just having fun together.
If you would like to know more about the FUEL Student Ministries, contact Pastor Josh Haney at 540.943.5064 (office), 540-471-4245 (cell), or email him here...

| Children Ministries |

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. (Mark 10:13-16).
Christian Education - Children's Christian Education classes are offered Sunday morning at 9:00am. Children are grouped by grade levels and meet in smaller classrooms. Christian education classes provide a small group environment with a focus on Bible study, life applications, and building relationships. The lessons are designed to reinforce the values of the home, help children know Jesus, and guide them in daily living and spiritual growth.
Children's Church - Children's Church is an exciting, fast paced worship service (10:45am) designed for kids age three through fifth grade. It is a Bible-based ministry incorporating praise & worship singing, Bible lessons, games, drama, and object lessons to help children understand God's Word.
CFC Friends is our Wednesday night children's program, held from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It begins with high-energy singing and friendship building activities. Kids then rotate in small groups to various centers. The centers are Bible lesson, snacks, and games. We then all meet in groups by age for Bible study and prayer emphasis.
Throughout the year Pastor Jay and his children's workers have fun events for the children (and grown-ups too!). These events are a means by which we desire to draw all children from the community to CFCNAZ, not only so we can introduce them to the gospel and hope of Jesus Christ, but to have a fun time too.
Vacation Bible School - Vacation Bible School is held every year in June. For 5 nights the children get introduced to Jesus through fun videos featuring Chadder Chipmunk, Bible re-enactment, arts and crafts, snacks, and indoor/outdoor games (usually getting wet at some point in time). Our 2007 VBS drew about 175 children every night with the children raising about $600 to go towards a playground at our future facility in Fishersville.
Kids Overnighters are themed events (some on campus and some offsite) that are planned throughout the year to provide a fun, Christ-centered activity that can involve the whole family. Activities include such adventures as: scavenger hunts, crafts, games, Bible lessons, and so much more! |
| Connections & Discipleship Ministries |

At CFC we believe that learning more about God's Word is one of the 4 basic disciplines of a growing Christian. In ACTS 2:42 we read, " They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." We believe this is done most effectively in a small group setting. Small group settings provide opportunity to be spiritually fed with consistency and to build authentic relationships with God & others.
Our Connection/Discipleship Groups take place on-site Sunday mornings, Monday/Wednesday evenings, and at in-home LIFE Groups (various nights) where the atmosphere is more relaxed.
Regardless of the time or group setting, learning God's Word should be a part of every growing Christian's life... and every Christian should be growing!

| Worship & Creative Arts Ministries |

As you drive down the street in your car, shop at the local grocery store, shop in the nearest mall, or even flip channels on your TV, one element is consistently present… the Arts. You hear music; see graphics, paintings, photos, and videos at every turn. Why are these elements present in stores, businesses and churches? Why are they important to us?
The answer lies deep in each of our souls. The Arts tie together our feelings and emotions from our inner depths and presents them to the world as a message of “this is how I feel! This is what I need!” They exist to tell a story about our feelings; our hurts, our joys, and of God.
At Community Fellowship, it is our desire to help each person connect with God in an intimate way through a very intentional approach. Weekly services are designed holistically with a variety of elements from the arts.
Music, drama, video, multi-media, and works of art are just a few ways in which we encourage expressions of worship that help each of us connect with God through outward expressions of feelings, emotions, and praise.
If you are an actor/actress, set/backdrop builder, sound technician, video producer, presentation software engineer, musician, singer, artist, computer guru, or willing to learn in any of these areas, we would love to have you be a part of a powerful area of ministry!
If you would like to express interest in the Creative Arts Worship Team please contact Pastor Phil Burkhart at pastorphil@cfcnaz.net or 540-943-5064. |
| Outreach Ministries |
Jesus said in the book of Acts, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Outreach Ministries at CFCNAZ strive to witness and be the hands and feet of Jesus to our own community, to our own country, and to our globe --- all by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We have many avenues of outreach here at CFCNAZ. We have our "Adopt-A-School" program which allows volunteers to tutor and/or have lunch with elementary school children at a nearby school. We have our "Hometown Missions" program that goes out and performs major renovations to houses in the community at no charge. We have shoe drives for local children that cannot afford to buy their own shoes. We do these and other things to share the love of Jesus tangibly with those in our community. Join us as we pursue Loving God, Loving Others, & Serving All through CFC's Outreach Ministries! For more details on Community Outreach opportunities click here. |
| Deaf Ministries |
We are fortunate to have several people in our church who know sign language and use this gift to serve the deaf in our community. This allows us to bring the voice of God to those who cannot hear.
If you would like to know more about this ministry, please contact Ann Belisle at 540.943.6334 or 540.241.1430. You may also email her here. |
| Encouragement Ministries |
Romans 12:6-8 says, "we each have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is encouraging, let him encourage." The CFC Encouragement Ministry strives to be an avenue of Outreach for those in need of encouragement! Each week we send uplifting notes, emails, or phone messages ... sharing a prayerful word of HOPE or simply a heartfelt "hello" to the family of CFC, our Military overseas, as well as others in our community! Join us in giving the gift of Encouragement to someone today!
If you would like to know more about this ministry, please contact Kim Spears in the church office 540.943.5064 or send her an email here. |
